Raise an emergency (SOS)
In a life-safety emergency, use your radio and call 911. SpikeCamp does not dispatch help.
To raise an emergency in SpikeCamp, hold the emergency button on the Track screen for two seconds. It sends your last position and the link it came over.
- Command gets a push and a banner with Locate and Acknowledge. Your crew is notified too, and TAK feeds carry it as a 911 alert until you cancel it.
- You see Emergency sent to command, then Command acknowledged your emergency when they do.
- Emergency queued means there is no connection yet. It sends the moment any link is up. Use your radio too.
To cancel, tap Cancel on the emergency banner and confirm. Only cancel when you are safe. If the cancel is queued, command still sees your emergency until it sends, so tell them on the radio.
An SOS sent from a bound Meshtastic radio raises the same emergency.
